Lies and propaganda are powerful.

Of course Trump is harming them, but he promised them great things. It was that very method of promising everything to everyone that sickened my stomach in 2016. I saw through the lies. Unfortunately, that's a privileged position. Many others are victims of said propaganda and are unwittingly voting against their own survival.

The power of propaganda was unfathomable to our founders, who never imagined today's mass communication environment. Their notions of liberty and Democracy have been usurped.

Wouldn't the cure lie in trying to find out why people fall for propaganda and how to prevent it from happening, at the risk of capitalism, of course, because the creation of false needs are what keep the economy spinning. Someone might have more than you do and not deserve it.

My hunch is most of the affected dwellings are mobile homes that were moved to whatever location and set up without caring about sanitation. Run the sewer pipe out to the back yard and let it lose. No one who did this bought a lot and a dwelling without giving at least a passing thought to where the shit would go, it was done knowing that it was a serious issue.
