I have a gforce 3 ti 200 card w/64MB on it and my system is an 866 p3 w/768MB of sdram.

My fpshooters ( q3, UT2003, max payne, wolfenstein) games run great, no prob.

My racing games (eracer, microsoft's rally challenge) run like sh*t. I cant get them to run smoothly no matter what settings I use on my card or the game.
The games skip a bunch of frames every 10 seconds or so, like clockwork, so its not that the graphics are killing my card, its a steady skipping thing.
Other than reinstalling my vid drivers ( I already reinstalled both games) or something, does anyone have a clue to whats happening????

I NEED MY RACE GAMES!!!!

In most of my games the racing/flight sims are much more demanding than first person shooters. I think your cpu is holding back the performance of your Geforce3 Ti200.

Mustang:

I have an AthlonXP 1900+ (1.6GHz), GF3 Ti-500, 512MB PC2100

RalliSport Challenge is a real resource hog. It looks beautiful and is tons of fun, but you need a mean machine to run it right. I had to set it to 800x600 with most items maxed except for the horizon distance, which is set to medium. It still bogs down at times. I was thinking of putting a GF4 with 128MB to see if that would run it better. Regardless, get it and have some fun!
