Racing/driving games

What are some good racing/driving games for PC? It seems like most games I look up that look really good are PS3/360 only, and when recommendations for PC ones are found they're for games 2-5 years old. I'm mostly interested in arcade action rather than real physics, but graphics that don't look like 4 year old style graphics would be nice.

Recommendations?

GRID seems to be the popular racing game these days, but it's definitely on the realistic side unless you are used to the hardcore racing sims.

The free version of Trackmania Nations Forever is worth checking out. The graphics look a bit dated but the gameplay is fairly unique and can be a lot of fun. I was playing it heavily a few months ago, although I got stuck at some point in the red level tracks and haven't loaded it up in a while. It's a pity that we don't get more games like this on the PC. The last truly arcade-ish PC racing games I played were probably Rollcage and Ballistics back in 2001. They are more common on consoles, like the Burnout series.

The NFS series is somewhere in between in terms of realism. Most Wanted is a few years old now but is still an excellent game.

Dirt is a decent arcade-ish rally game from a couple years ago, but I agree with dig314 about TrackMania. Give the demo a shot.

Well since Trackmania Nations is free I'm grabbing it off of Steam now.

Thanks to everyone for the recommendations!
