i went to a track meet where a women got on the track to take pictures. she got in the way of the guy in the lead and knocked him down. she claimed that it was accident but her son ended getting 3rd place when he would have taken 4th.

the guy she knocked down got 8th or so. poor guy.

Thirded, his ass hit the ground pretty hard 😀 Shouldn't have been standing there.

There were a heck of a lot of people standing around in the pits, the driver almost hit a whole group of them standing around one of the other cars. The photographer was just standing a few feet farther out. This wasn't during the race, he wasn't interfering with anything, is it too much to ask for the driver to pay attention to what's going on around him?

It's amazing - if a guy died because he was driving his car too fast, you'd mourn for the guy AND the car. This guy was just trying to do his job and got run over and you laugh at him. Do you think you could make your bias a bit more obvious?

Where do these azzholes get the idea they can just go wherever they want? His "job" includes staying the fvck out of the way!

It looks like he did see him and tried ever so slightly to avoid him. Honestly, he probably thought the guy would move out of the way...it is a pit lane during a race after all. Stoopid fvcking photographer...

I love how they turn around and start trying to scream at the driver instead of tending to the photographer.

Could have been yelling for an ambulance.

true.
i still can't believe a media person would be allowed to stand in the middle of pit lane

No. The cameraman should get off the f&cking track. It's like those rally races where all of the idiots crowd so far into the road that it's practically obscured. It isn't the rally driver's job to avoid them, they need to get the hell out of the way.

Yes, it is too much to ask. A split second swerve is that much more of a lead you have to eliminate when you get back on to the track. The photog wasn't supposed to be there, plain and simple. This ownage was self-induced.

They weren't racing...

A motor race has been red flagged due to bad weather.

this was on max-x last night...

Apparantly, the car came into pits cuz his windsheild was fogged/iced over. THe camera man was taking a pic of the parked car and he had earplugs in...Total accident on both sides.

He suffered a broken leg and broken collar bone!
