holy crap! my first double post! i suppose i will have to make it up to all of you who read my two posts an were awfully disappointed in the second's content. here's my secret. i just bought an athlon gig as some of you may know because a certain someone who shall remain nameless, although in some circles he goes by SilverBack. that's not all though. i plan on using the motherboard, processor, hard drive and graphics card that are in my current system to start a new system too. it currently does 2 wu's a day, and every little bit helps. the big news, is that i've also been able to assimilate about 10 machines (assorted, but mainly p3's 700-1k) that will also crack seti for me for about 10 hours a day.
it's the combination of these new machines plus my new athlon that will give me a big boost in the race and in the TeAm standings. this assimilation spree i'm on is all because of these races i've been in. i'm pretty competitive, and if i give myself a big goal like catching Mucman, who had a 115 work unit lead over me in our first race (keep in mind i was only doing about six wu's a day back then, so it was going to be a long race), or catching ElFenix, who had a 500 wu lead over me in when we startd our current race, i tend to really put a lot of effort into it.
now you all can stop bashing your heads against the wall; tormenting yourselves over what foul trick i have up my sleeve. there it is. be at peace.
