Great bunch of folks! I suspected things would work out ok (glad it did). 🙂
Now, I have a little "splaining" to do. I built another machine over the weekend, and dumped my w/u's this morning around 6:30. Kinda fun to watch the production build, then dump ten at the time. It's only a p2-350 @409 for now. When compuwhiz comes up with a cco 700E, I'll have another little seti monster. This is what I was alluding to in my previous post with all the smiles and wink.
Blade_47, I have a slight problem understanding your point of view. Just because someone possibly donated some production to your account, you are going to quit racing? I believe that you are a fine upstanding southern gentleman. But I can't believe that you're going to quit the race! No, I'm not giong to let this happen without a fight! Here is my proposal - idle your fleet on seti for the approximate amount of time that it would take to generate the production you were gifted with. During that time run RC-5 or some other distributed computing project for Team Anand Tech. (just don't start liking it) You will feel better, the TeAm will still benefit, and I don't lose a racing buddy.
😎 Personally, I'm not concerned about the extra w/u's you were given.
Like you, I have no assimilations. It's difficult to win races that way. But we can be extra proud of our production while cheering on the guys who are able to assimilate, err asslaminate, whatever. Don't know if you noticed but I've been watching some production fall while we continue to ramp up. My only down-fall is that my family loves to play UT, and that plays hell with production!
Keep up the good fight and continue with a great race. Please consider my proposal - it's a win, win deal. 🙂
