Race Driver Grid - Any good?

Obviously practise helps, & that's going to take a lot of sucking to get better.

But here's a tip:
Slow down before the corners.

Brake before the corners; accelerate through them.

It works a lot better than what i would always do with arcade-style racing games, which was fly into corners full speed & then brake at the last second.
