There is a local food ministry that operates right below where I work at. They are open every Thursday and give away packaged bundles of various food and household products. People volunteer to come and help package/distribute the food. Local buisness's donate thisgs as well. I applaud the effort of these people and there hard work.
HOWEVER, it seems that every week there are more and more people exploiting this. When I look over in the parking lot that the customers (or whatever) use I see nice SUV's, Lexus sedans and many vehicles nicer than my own. What the fvck do these people think they are doing? Why in the hell do they think they are entitled to free food? Maybe if my groceries were bought and given to me by people's donations I could afford a new Lexus SUV. :frown:
Not to mention that they clog up the ONE street that leaves out of my building. 75-100 people work at the facilty, and every Thursday we have to sit and wait 10-15 minutes (on a 30 minute lunch break) for some a$$ #'er to get off his cell phone and walk in and pick up his free food. I have no idea what criteria they use to select who is elligble for this, but it needs reevaluating STAT.
I'm gonna go punch a intern now to relieve some stress. :wine:
