If the 4pin power connector isn't plugged in, what is going to happen next?
Can I boot my machine?

okay.
Now we have
1)the card won't work
2)An image will appear on the monitor saying "Please check power cable" or something like that.
and
3)I thought it would run but would crash during games or something like that

Can anyone plz confirm which one is the correct one?
I'm asking this because I've modded my r9500pro 4pin connector (bent it up) because it was blocking one of my BGA ram, couldn't stick a ramsink on it. I'm not sure whether the my 4pin connecter is connected to my card's 4pin header or otherwise.
Anyway, I have been using my PC for almost 17hours. So the connecter is connected to my card's 4pin header rite?

The motherboard will beep when you turn it on, and a message will appear saying the power connector to the video card needs to be plugged in; the computer will not boot. Just out of curiousity, why are you asking? Will it make or break your decision to buy this board?

ketchup79: because I've modded my r9500pro 4pin header (bent it up) because it was blocking one of my BGA ram, couldn't stick a ramsink on it. Now I'm not sure whether the my 4pin connecter is connected to my card's 4pin header or otherwise. I mean I've already connected them but I'm not sure whether the connection is working or not. :D
Since I don't have the error message that you've mentioned, I'm pretty sure the connection(4pin connector to the 4pin header) is working.
Thanks for helping :D

Yes, it probably is. If it didn't, your computer would be rendered useless. How did your mod turn out?
