R9 390 VS GTX 970 for 3d work plus gaming?

I would be using it for mostly maya and nuke plus casual gaming.
Which one should I go with?

which is more important; 3d work or gaming? If you're going to end up serious about 3d work you'll want to end up going with a pro card because of the driver hooks.

Maya and lightwave use opencl far more than cuda so you'd be better with an AMD card 390 very solid card......but if you're looking pro w5100 firepro......
