R9 290X X58 Compatibility issues

Reading up on the internet I stumbled upon various issues with AMI Bioses and R9 290X's especially in Crossfire such as stuttering, audio crackling etc... This was supposed to be resolved with Driver updates and Beta bios updated but is anyone running a R9 290X Crossfire setup with either AMI/Phoenix bios without issues on X58?

I have a Gigabyte X58-UD5 currently using a 6970. When I upgrade my main rig to either pascal or polaris/vega, I can put a 290 in the board and see if there are any issues. For now I am not really using it for much though, but I can mine on it when I upgrade.

Not going to run CF though as the board layout doesn't have the adequate spacing for CF IMO
