R9 260 versus R7 260... what's the difference?

280/x was GCN v1 while all the products listed above are GCN v2 or latter variants, it might simply be a case of the original GCN being not worth the time/effort & it might not even support lots of Wattman features.

As far as I can tell from some Googling, the R9 260 is an OEM only product. It looks like a shameless attempt to trick pre-built system buyers into thinking they are getting a higher-end gaming card.
