Hey all,
Putting together a mid-end Linux workstation with the following specs:

Via KT-266 based board
New Duron 1400
512MB PC2100
Maxtor 80GB 7200RPM ATA

I will be installing Fedora based Linux and using it for learning and testing applications for work.

Which graphics card would be the best bang for the buck? Looking to spend in the $50 range:
Radeon 8500 or LE, 9100, 9200
Nvidia FX5200 series (128 Bit version)

Thanks all!

id say the same

or maybe a gf3/gf4 instead. anyway, ati drivers dont work as well im told, nvidia drivers seem to install easily and give the same performance youd get in windows

I would go 9100 because no fan
ie no noise.

I've always wanted to build a fanless linux box...cyrix chip..ati chip..fanless PS...etc/
