R7 240 2 GB DDR3 vs. R7 240 1GB DDR5

OK I bought the R7 250 1GB GDDR5 but when the previous card was replaced by new one and switched on the PC there's no display on the monitor. The monitor keep showing no signal.
Tried HDMI and VGA ports both but still no change.
Help please!

Hmm that sucks.. Maybe your motherboard is a bit old, but I suggest you find the motherboard name (download cpu-z and on "mainboard" tab), and try to see if there is a bios (software) update for your motherboard, they should have instructions. I know one time when a new vid card didnt work for a friend a bios update fixed it

You plugged into the card or the internal VGA?

With no card at all (internal) maybe poke around the BIOS to make sure the display order is set to PEG before IGP. Disable IGP if you can, as well.

...and connect your monitor to the card BEFORE turning it on.

(Little stuff that makes all the difference, often common mistakes.)
