Hey Ppl,

I've been building my own systems for quite a while and I have some questions about 3x crossfire. I just built a new game rig.
Antec 300 atx mid tower
Corsair HX1000
i7 920 cpu
MSI x58 pro-e/gigabyte ga ex58-ud5(same issue with both MB)
Cosair 6gb xms 3x2gb ddr3 1600 kit
500bg seagate sata 300 hd
MSI r4870 MD1 x3 gpu
liteon 22x dvdrw

My confusion is conserning ATI ccc. both systems show 3 cards in windows device mgr. CCC shows 3 gpu but reports the 3rd gpu as disabled.
After much head scrationg and seraches on the internet I still don't understand why this is. Is it that the 3rd card dosen't come online until a 3d app is lanched or do I have a problem somewhere else?
I've tried moving the cards around to determine if one of the cards is bad but get the same results no matter what I do. WTF???:bang:

Thanks in advance,

Could you post a screen shot of your CCC Panel in the crossfire tab, and also in the overdrive tab.

I have 2 different computers both running triple xfire and this has happened to me, best bet would be to uninstall all drivers sweep and reinstall.

- Also you say the card shows in CCC and gpu-z but as disabled? Is it getting the proper power? ( i see you have the corsair HX1000 just making sure all power connectors are accounted for is a big deal)

you both are more than likely confused as it seems you don't have anything better to do with your time.

note to self, do not post in forums before 1st cup of coffee in the morning...

Excuse me for the question, but are you using the latest drivers?

Do you have each card bridged to the other two?

And on a technical note, putting a card in an x1 slot is a bad idea. It's probably going to slow you down more than anything else.

This, ill bet running one at 1x would slow down performance ALOT over running 2 at x8. So i think you are better off with the one disabled anyways.
