Hey, I'm thinking about getting a Slot 1 device for my nintendo ds lite to play homebrew. i was wondering if anyone's used these cards in particular. i've heard they're reliable for playing backup games but the homebrew is a little short.

specifically wondering if i'll be able to browse the web with one of these.
thanks!

p.s. what card do you have? likes/dislikes?

Have the R4 and it's great. No problems whatsoever. In order to browse the web, you'll need to have the ds browser .nds file AND an M3LITE or equivalent slot 2 booting device.

what homebrew are you guys running on the R4/M3 Simply?
i'd like to be able to play music, videos, and do instant messaging. and web if possible.
if it can do that i'm sold!

edit: fs5 is that the original M3 or the M3 Simply? the M3 Simply is identical to the R4.

what FleshLight said. I LOVE the R4....sure beats carrying around all the actual games around when you can have it all on one card.

awesome. i'm gonna get one.

one question. about how large are the ds roms? it says the ds cards can hold up to 128MB... is that the average game size?

i have 3 ds games and i'd like to fit those on as well as quite a few songs.

thanks for the info guys

I was looking into getting something like this - is it a pain in the ass to get your games copied over to run and how well do they run?

I'm getting tired of lugging a dozen carts around... thx....

Compatbility is 100% unless you have a slow microSD card. Videos will stutter if your card is too slow. Nintendo's web browser requires a slot 2 card with built in RAM. The few homebrew browsers run slower but don't need a slot 2 card. ROMs vary as small a 4MB to 128MB. The majority of them are in that 32-64MB range. Videos with Moonshell are like 2-3MB per minute.
