I've had these two waiting for the build for a few months now. I finally took the time to build it. Got a itx case, SFX bequiet 300 sfx psu and a few memory sticks to test.

I've put everything together:
MSI B450i gaming plus
Ryzen3 2200g, stock cooler
2x8gb corsair vengeance 3000
PSU Bequiet 300W SFX
hdmi cabel to display

When I flip power switch, fans spin, but on EZ debug leds on board, VGA is glowing white. There's no post on display.
The PSU only has 4pin cpu pwoer cable (board has 8pin connector), if I try boot without connecting it to the board, EX debug led stays on CPU.
So, I'm guessing the the cpu shouldn't be dead, as I seems to get detected, however, the IGP is not getting detected or what... The board should support these APUs out of the box, even with stock bios. Don't really have an option to update it...

Any ideas what I could try next?

Did you clear the CMOS? Also, you have to be patient the first time you turn it on, as some AM4 combos can take what feels like an excruciatingly long time to post and let you get in the UEFI. Also, what monitor or TV are you connecting to?

CMOS was cleared, I'm using HDMI cable to LG monitor 34'', the thing is monitor is displaying "black" and it does not go the to power save mode. I'll try to wait some time...

Does the keyboard and mouse turn on?

Try hot plugging the HDMI and turning the monitor off and on, and of course that it is on the proper input. A different HDMI cable would be the next thing to try. Next, I would unplug the psu, remove the battery, come back in 30 minutes and try one more time. If still no post, I would say the board or PSU are the prime suspects.

you need a PSU with the 8 pin power connector.

Well, I made a small sacrifice, I took one sata power cable, chopped it and connected the second half of the P8 connector from a older broken PSU. Black to black, yellow to yellow, can't really fail. The good news is that board still powers up, the bad news is that nothing changed. Still no successful boot, still VGA white led. I kinda doubt that PSU fails to deliver enough juice to cpu through the original P4 connector and improvised second half of the P8 . I think I'll drop the setup at the local shop...

I told you that you need to replace your PSU with one that has the proper 8pin power connector. Exchange the SFX Bequiet 300 with the proper one if you can. Do this before you damage something.
