R200: 3-4 times faster than Radeon?!

I was just reading this article:

And found some interesting news:

"Moving forward, ATI plans to refresh its chipsets with technology from next-generation graphics products like the R200, which is three to four times faster than the Radeon."

I thought the R200 was originally supposed to be twice as fast as the Radeon! This would be very impressive if true - and would be a big boost to ATI considering the likelyhood that the R200 will debut 3-4 months after the NV20.

To bad the drivers will be just as Sh!tty as they have been for every previous ATI product

Sorry you feel that way but,

1. You don't know that the drivers will be bad.
2. I'm not having any trouble with the drivers (win2k, via chipset).
3. I had more problems with my GF2 drivers than the Radeon.

So, like always, YMMV.
