Has anyone else heard heard all 5 parts to R. Kelly's "Trapped in the Closet"? That's some GOOD storytelling. The man may be a pedophile, but he can still sing...

I thought this was a news thread about how R. Kelly trapped himself in a closet.

Disappointment doesn't begin to describe it.

is it new?

Yeah, usually only one part of the song plays at a time on the radio though. Hearing all 5 in a row though gives it the full effect.

Not being a smart ass or anything, but a grown man, who is accused of being a pedophile, decides to name his next album/song whatever "Trapped in the closet"

A little tasteless.

Are you serious? You consider that crap to be good? The first time I ever heard that I was shocked that it would ever be released to the public. R Kelly is a horrible "artist."

doesnt it turn out that the woman's husband had a lover too, but it is a man?

what happens after that?

Full story basically is R. Kelly (well, his character) cheats on his wife with a woman. The woman's husband, who's a pastor, finds out, makes his own confession that he's cheating on her with his male friend. R. Kelly freaks out, calls home, a guy answers, he rushes home, gets a speeding ticket, comes home, wife says guy who answered is her bro. Kelly and wife make love, he sees condom, then wife admits she knew Kelly was cheating, and she too cheated, with the police officer that gave Kelly that ticket.

🙂

I was watching some show on VH1 or MTV that was talking about it briefly. They were trying to make fun of it, but some of the scenes they showed were really funny. This won't mean anything if you just read it, but there's a part where he gets pulled over by a cop and "sings" "Damn". It's funny if you see it.

It plays like a crappy soap opera, and half the time he isn't even singing, just telling a story.

Some ringtone commercial played a snippet and I thought it was a comedy track.

Where's The Fresh Prince when you need some quality song-storytelling?
