"The truth be told, there is no mole ... that means one thing," Adam told jurors, then paused and lowered his voice. "It ain't him. And if it ain't him, you can't convict."
That lawyer obviously went to Johhny Cochrane University, but must have skipped Rhyme 101. Told != mole. JC would be displeased.

If the mole you don't see, then my client didn't pee!

The person the prosecution claims was 13 in the video said it wasn't her, and many of her family members testified it wasn't her. Defense said the absence of a mole in the man in the video shows it wasn't R. Kelly. If the jury thought either of these might be true, that's reasonable doubt right there. I'm not surprised he was found Not Guilty.

The defense was basically that all the people supposedly depicted in the video said it wasn't them in it, the 'victim' included. Do I think he did it? Oh hell yes. Is the denial of the person he supposedly had sex a pretty strong indicator of reasonable doubt? I'd say so.
Tom Dubois: Now, young lady, I know this can be hard to talk about.
The Underaged Girl: Naw, it's cool.
Tom Dubois: How old were you when you were "seeing" Mr. Kelly.
The Underaged Girl: Um, 14 and a quarter.
Tom Dubois: Wow, thats a great age, isn't it? Still learning so much about the world.
The Underaged Girl: Whatever, I guess.
Tom Dubois: Can you describe the events leading up to the shooting of the video?
The Underaged Girl: Yeah, he asked if he could pee on me, and I said fo sho. I mean, it's R Kelly, the pied piper of R&B. I've been peed on by guys who don't even have record deals. Shit, if I didn't wanna get peed on, I would have moved out the way!
