$135 million budget

Less a bad movie than simply not a movie, R.I.P.D. gives every indication of having been a sloppy first-draft script (by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi) that the producers, in a strange spasm of innovation and despair, said, “Aaah, what the hell, let’s just shoot the damn thing.”

A half-hour into the film, and it feels like the eighth day of jury duty.

The movie is almost over. I now feel as if I’ve been strapped into a hospital bed, and the wall TV is blaring a Here Comes Honey Boo-Boo marathon, and I can’t reach the remote.

doesnt seem to be even download worthy...

From my standpoint (as a high schooler), it seems like a cool movie to see with friends.

Saw a trailer yesterday for it (mind you, not the first time I've seen a trailer) and the whole trailer was the narrator referring to Bridge's Lebowski "Dude" roll. I don't think I've ever see that.

It gave every indication of being a stinker with a few expensive laughs from the trailers.

In the trailer I saw, it seemed like Bridges was continuing his character Rooster Cogburn from another Coen Bros. film: "True Grit"

May be a crappy movie but guaranteed it rakes in big at the box office. The ham & eggers love this sort of trash.

The trailers were enough to be sure that this movie was painfully bad.

Fuck, the title was enough.

Why the fuck would Jeff Bridges agree to be in something so dreadful?

I dunno. This movie looks too bad even for them.

They might elect to go see Grown-Ups 2 for a second time instead. :p

Yeah, I couldn't understand him in that nor could I understand him in the RIPD commercials.

I'd like to see it for myself before I pass judgement. John Carter was a massive fail in the box office, but I enjoyed the movie. RIPD had an awesome trailer, so I'm sad to see that it's not doing well. Had kind of a fun Men in Black vibe to it.

Blade 3 was also awful...although I think I get what you were saying in that Ryan Reynolds was actually a reason to watch Blade 3 despite it being a bad movie.

he had a couple of funny lines, jessica biel was hot, and despite the terrible-ness of the movie, i thought the actor who did dracula did quite a good job with the role.
