Did you bother to read the article? Everything up till now has pointed towards his departure from NCSoft being voluntary. What he is bringing forward is that he was forced out involuntarily, but with NCSoft covering it to look like it was voluntary which negatively affected his stock options.

Garriott is definitely an odd person, but if this turns out to be true he is completely in the right. Not stupid at all if breach of contract occurred. Next time read the article.

Didn't it cost him ~24 mil to go up in space? :) He did mention the space trip drain quite a lot of his own funds...

While NCSoft was probably wise to terminate Garriot, they were pretty foolish if they tried to do so using some sort of trickery. He still has enough money to get some pretty good lawyers. It's a big enough case to make the lawyer's percentage of the judgement look pretty dang good....

Dude wears a burger king crown to game conventions. That gets him mad respect in my book, right up there with wearing gauntlets while you eat a double whopper.
