okay here's my situation and what I wanna do..
I have an R-52 w/ crappy on-board sound. it works fine for the laptop speakers but I have a Boston Acoustics 3-piece system I wanna listen through at home and it just doesn't sound good enough. My idea is to get an external sound-card and plug it into one of the USB ports in the back of the port-rep (it's got 2 on the port-rep). My question is, what's gonna happen when I undock? will I have to first go to the "unplug & eject hardware" icon before undocking? or does it matter? what will happen when I re-dock the laptop? will it automatically see the external sound-card or will I have to sorta re-add it?
thanks for any advice ya'll can provide
