I'm a Biomedical Engineer graduating in a few short months. Should I put my experience as a shift manager at a restaurant on there? Or should I exclude it? Part of my says that is not science/tech related, the other part says it shows leadership, financial management skills.

What would you do?

I just threw a Projects section on there, haven't formated it. Tell me what you like and dislike.

Note to self I just did a hack job on some of it so the objective is being reworked and the projects section was just slapped on, besides those comments or suggestions.

Only put that which might apply to the job being advertised. I would say no. Discuss your leadership skills in a difference section of the resume.

If you have no experience in your major outside of school, then put it..... if otherwise, leave it out.

So what does a "shirt manager" do? Do you work at Hooter's?

Put it on your resume. All work experience is helpfull to recruiters and hiring management.

Unless the job you're applying for involves any of that, then no. The only relevant part will be covered by the work history you will more than likely fill out. If the company wants to know what you did, they'll ask you from that, not your resume. More than likely though, prospective employers will only care insomuch that it provides incite into whether or not you're dependable (I.e. you didn't have/need a new job every three months).

When interviewing new/future graduates, hiring managers fully expect to see totally unrelated work experience on their resumes. From my experience, they would be more likely to question big gaps in your work history.
