qx6700 @ 3200mhz 1.4 volts still get prime95 errors WTF? How much more voltage does this 2.66ghz extreme quad need? after like 3 minutes of 4 threads of prime 95 one of them gets an error and stops. i see people do 3.2-3.4 on qx6700s with default vcore, wtf????????? I can do that do but i will get a prime 95 error in like 1 min. did i get the most horrible model that some intel employee dropped on the ground by accident or something??? wtfbbq....


asus p5k deluxe, ddr 2 800mhz (buffalo firestix)

8x * 400 fsb currently,I have also tried 12x multi with the default fsb of 266, same errors in prime after 2-3 min.

What is your VTT voltage set at? You try playing with the northbridge, southbridge voltages at all either?

I had to play around with the other voltages to get my Q6600 stable at 3.4. I ended up having to give about 1.45v to the CPU VTT voltage to get mine stable.

wait a sec whats VTT. i only set the cpu voltage up to 1.4. ram at 2.1 which is its default factory recommendation. i can also just up the mulitplier to 12x to get 3200mhz without even overclocking or touching anything else and i still get one error on one of the cores after 2 min on prime 95, i tried 1.38 volts no luck, 1.4 volt no luck. keep in mind this is ONLY 3200mhz.

CPU VTT is the FSB Termination Voltage.
