1.2MB down and 800k up, not to shabby for $5 increase. I'm happy. :)

Qwest just reprovisioned my DSL line today. New ActionTec modem seems to work great. New speeds are 1,2850 down and 790 up. Not bad for a free upgrade.

doesn't qwest block ports so you are unable to run your own server?

Yes and no. From my experience, Qwest forcibly blocks incoming requests on ports 80 (http) and 21 (ftp). So, you can get around it by just using a non-standard port. It sucks somewhat but at least this work around exists. You wouldn't believe how many hours I blew trying to figure out why my server wasn't working LOL.

Anyhow, so does Cox block any ports? I think both Qwest and Cox both state you aren't supposed to run servers... but does Cox forcibly block any ports like Qwest does?

I'm loving my new Qwest dl speeds. I get around 155KB/sec now :) I know Cox can dl faster but Qwest is better for running servers.
