I did a search on Newegg for motherboards that support X2. Nothing comes up for motherboards with an agp slot. I just brouth my 6800 gt like 6 months ago and i dont want to have to pay another $300.00. Does anyone Know if any motherboard uses agp slot to use with Athlon 64 x2(dual core) cpu?

Most A64 motherboards will be able to support X2 with a BIOS update. I said most because Shuttle ran into incompabilities issues with its SN45G5.

I am running Neo2 (NF3, AGP) w/ an X2. Nothing but problems to troubleshoot!

Heh, you could always buy that Asrock ULI 1695 mobo with both agp and pcie and even an extra slot for "future sockets"... It even supports the X2 out of the box, I think.

Asus A8V.

Also avoids NVidia chipsets if that is your thing.

(Note that the PCIe variant A8V-E does not support dual-core)

If it's a socket 939 motherboard, it most likely supports the X2. I use an early Abit AV8 Motherboard I purchase 14 months before the X2's came out and it's running it fine.
