leave the gun... take the cannolis.

i don't feel I have to wipe everybody out, tom. just my enemies.

i know it was you fredo. you broke my heart. you broke my heart!

there are many things my father taught me here in this room. he taught me keep your friends close, but your enemies closer.

it ain't the way i wanted it! i can handle things! i'm smart! not like everybody says... like dumb... i'm smart and i want respect!

Quoting The Godfather i see, i didn't think of that.

Maybe the enemies closer thing will work.

Thanks

Man is the only animal that laughs and weeps, for he is the only animal that is struck with the difference between what things are and what they ought to be.

no problem. i mean, it is the greatest movie in the world... so why not?

Can i start an essay with a quote?

Like "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." This quote blablablabla.

Or is it gramatically incorrect?

lol just type in google qoutes....pull up the first page and find one you like

also you shouldn't really start out your essay with the quote, you need an introduction....the essay is how it relates to peoples lives, not the quote itself

try that.

It sounds good, but what will i write about that? 750 words on why i prefer to die?

I don't think you understand that qoute and the metaphorical meaning behind it

I wouldn't suggest copying and pasting that article either. That would be plagiarism.
Thats good but i can't really write a 700 word paper on "I am, I exist"
You're a moron. Students of philosophy have written volumes on Descartes' cogito argument. Hume, Locke and Kant wrote thousands of pages revising, disproving or accepting the cogito.

very true...writing the essay on that would definately impress your teacher...although from your other posts I do not think you are capable of pulling it off 😛

I'm not. Taking the fact that i don't know complex English (its my 3rd language) and that i rather spend 2 hours on this and get an A rather than spending 6 hours just to impress my teacher.

I'll use that and write about how life is too short ok?

Thanks man.

Well, it sounds like you're either;

a.) asking us to write a whole goddamn paper for you,

or,

b.) endlessly berate you with no end in sight

I think it's *b*.

(seriously, if you're having such a hard time with the language, just pick one quote and go for it - it sounds like you're going to have to spend a lot of time writing this if this is your third language.)
