i recently started working at this company, i've been here since january. i've got a friend in the LA area who's been trying to get me to move out there and work where he works. he's got pretty good connections within the company, and says all i have to do is forward my resume to him and its pretty much guaranteed i'll get an offer. the job doubles my current salary, seems to be in a field thats more interesting than what i'm in now, and its in LA instead of pennsylvania.
but quitting my job would be so difficult! i feel like i owe this company something. when they hired me, they expressed that they really hoped i'd stay for a few years, not just quit after 3 months. overall, they've been pretty happy about my work. they're constantly telling me how glad they are that they hired me. if i quit, i'm sure there'd be a lot of disappointed people.
plus, i sort of like living in this area. a lot of my friends are here (i went to college around the area), life is pretty good for the most part. i only know a couple people in LA. but then again, the other job pays so much more... i guess comes down to whether more money would make me happier..
what would you guys do? would you take the money? or is it better to maintain the status quo, especially if you're content?
