Quitting and taking 6 months off

Bad idea. There's no reason you can't find a better job and have that lined up without taking 6 months off, is there? Find an employer that will invest in you (paid training/education). They're out there.

After four years of bitching, I finally quit. No new job in line.

However, everything I want to do requires going back to school or not working full-time (I have a small business idea going, been working on it for the past two years), so I have a plan. And my finances are in order for the next while.

What's the worst that can happen? Don't find job and end up homeless, dumpster diving, and no taxes. Sign me up...

I hated my previous job but I would get multiple recruitment offers through LinkedIn. I came in for an interview and doubled my salary. Worked out good. IT is hiring a ton and the base pay is usually decent but there's not much upward movement. I think I'll be here for about a year or two before I move on.
