QUIK QUESTION about SB on DS3R

We currently have all heat sinks off of CPU (Scythe Ninja), NB (replacing stock with Zalman blue ZM-NB47j). While we were at it, we decided to reseat the SB. when we removed the stock cooler, we noticed that the stock cooler had a square piece of plastic that seperated the HS and the SB. The SB looks to be actually made of Hi composite plastic. So, here is the questions.

We are going to use Stock HS on the southbridge. BUT, can we use AS5 on it, since its plastic or use that plastic piece that was between the HS and the SB?

Waiting for Reply before we continue. Thank in advance.

Well, since nobody posted, I will say what we did. We used the plastic sticker piece and put some AS5 between that and the heat sink, then installed it.
