Greetings,
I've already purchased the Antec P180B that was highly praised on the Silent PC review website, but am worried that my irritatingly noisy 40 mm chipset fan on the MSI K8N Neo SLI Platinum motherboard will still be... irritating.
One fellow suggested the very cool looking Zalman NBF47, but I'm concerned that the stock heatsink on my EVGA 6800 Ultra would be in the way of it. The Zalman would DEFINATELY get in the way if I decide to do a second 16x PCI express card, so any suggestions for a QUIET chipset cooler would work. If no one can suggest a lower profile heat spreader for the chipset, then I'll probably have to get a GPU cooler as well, so suggestions are GREATLY welcome there as well.
For the CPU, I'm leaning towards the "Ninja" passive heatsink but am open to quiet alternatives that are more affordable.
Any and all personal experience/ suggestions are greatly appreciated.
