"Certified for SLI" and "capable of SLI" are totally different things. The latter means that that a PSU can provide the juice necessary to power two 6XXX cards; the former means the manufacturer has struck a cooperative marketing deal with nVidia.

...& in this case, certified for SLI = capable of SLI. Not that you'd need a "SLI certified" PSU for SLI to work.
 
That's what I was getting at. Any PSU with enough juice, especially on the 12v rail, will be able to power an SLI system. Even a high quality 430W unit should do the trick (though I wouldn't bank on it). nVidia's just making a couple bucks on the side by officially "declaring" SLI PSUs.
