got a car heater core for my water cooling rig (its large enough for 2 120mm fans), and i was wondering what what the best 120mm fan to put on it that was quiet, and high cfm

so for summary

>40cfm
<35db

i don't want to use L1A their cfm are too low

oh yeah i will be using two fans due to the size of the radiator

please post links also

what kind of car did it come out of??.......

dont really know the answer to your question is but had a thought......not a smart a$$ one.......if you had a good enough power supply you could run the fan that came with the radiator.....12v......talk about cfm!!!.............it would be a little much for your amp line though....lol

got a similar setup for my H2O cooling rig. I've used L1A's, M1A's, H1A's, Sunon 120's, Sunon low-pro 120's, Nidec Beta V's, and even the monster Delta 120's. I have a total of 4 120mm fans in my case and i was looking for the same dB/cfm action that you are. What i've come up with, is the M1A's with a rheostat on each is far and above the best config I've used. These push a pile of air (86cfm I think). The rheostats (5W 100ohm) give the ability to adjust the speed (obviously) but more importantly in my mind, it allows you to adjust the quality of the sound comming from them. Panaflos tend to whine a bit but with the slightest tweak, the quality of the whine changes slightly. At full speed, these things smoke--or rather keep my CPU from smoking:p

BTW--secure all pets and small children if you are thinking of using the Delta's or they just might blow away (after they go deaf)
