There are not too many 70mm fans available. I would recommend spending $3 on a 70mm->80mm adapter and getting a Papst 8400N 8cm fan.

If you don't need a lot of CFM, the YS Tech. TMD fans are nice - and look good too. Might even be more effective than a normal fan of higher air flow due to more surface area of a normal HS being swept by air because of the smaller dead spot under the hub. OTOH, klah has a good idea. SVC.com recently got 70-80mm adapters back in stock. You will then have the widest universe of fans to choose from 80mm=more CFM@lowerRPM=lower dBs. And the adapter tends to reduce the effect of the dead spot under the fan hub because of turbulence within the adapter.

unfortunately my heatsink can't accomoddate a 70->80mm fan adapter.

I will probably go with a YStech TD fan. looks like the only choice.

What HS do you have that can't accept the adapter like the one at SVC?

Not necessarily the heatsink, but the clip that holds it onto the cpu. The levers that clamp it down to the retention bracket get in the way of any fan adapters.
The heatsink is a Nexus PPr-1030.
The fan that came with it was not bad, but it got damaged while wrking on my computer. Anotherreason to keep your workspace organized.
