Quieter cooling for my AMD Athlon Venice core 3200+ 2.2 GHz CPU?

I'm wondering if there's a smart way to make my PC quieter than it is. Can I swap out the fan on my Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 HSF for something quieter, say a quiet 120mm fan, or am I stuck with using the stock fan with this? I don't know that I want to invest in another HSF. Thanks for the ideas.

Are you sure the heatsink fan is causing the noise? If I recall correctly the AC 64 fans are pretty quiet... Otherwise what other case fans are you using?

No, I'm not sure at all. The other sources are vidcard fan, PSU, and an exhausting 80mm Vantec Stealth. The vidcard fan seems to be very quiet indeed. When I stop it for a few seconds, I don't notice any difference to speak of! The PSU, I don't know about, but that exhausting fan is going this or next week when my new case fans arrive.

I will have to see how things go when I get my main PC back together in a few days. I just wondered if there's a known quieting upgrade for my HSF. I guess I should check out the reviews. Thanks.
