the Zalman works well only if the case is well ventilated, but the silencer aids in case cooling as well, and ensures that none of the exhaust is recycled right back through itself, which would reduce its own performance.

The Zalman cools better, makes less noise, has a better build quality, and is compatible with nearly every card out there. The AC dose vent some GPU heat out of the case but probably not enough to make much of a difference. The Silencers also have had a history of fan failures.

i've been reading up on this as well as so far, it appears that more people are recommending the Zalman cooler over the AC ones. Both appear to be pretty close in performance but the build quality appears to be much better with the Zalman. Even though i own a lil microATX case with basically no airflow, i still leaning toward the VF700CU, plus i like the idea of individual ramsinks.

i cannot hear any noise difference when my Silencer is at 35% or 100%. it is a very quiet cooler. i recommend it. from what i heard, the VF700 is a great cooler but I don't particularly like the whole recycling old air idea.

Oracle ? :D Just buy the Zalman 700 and be done with it.

This is not avalible yet. It looks like a one slot solution and *may* work with a SLI set-up.
This site loads slow but is worth the look, Zalman VF900. Text is Chinese.
