Hi
I'm currently using an old APC Back-UPS XS 1300 to power my HTPC, NAS, receiver and router. Recently it started to emit high pitch hissing noises, which is very annoying in a quiet room. After some reading it's apparent I'm not the only one with this kind of problem, and it's probably caused by cheap electronics. Batteries are still pretty fresh, replaced them about a year ago.
So is there anything of a decent quality on the market, suitable for home use? The closest I found so far is CyberPower CP1500PFCLCD, however reviews mention it sometimes having fan rattling problems and being "assembled like a really cheap toy".
I think I can go as far as invest in OR1500PFCRT2U, however it feels like a total overkill for a system that idles at 25W.
Any thoughts?
