Quiet P2/450 Slot1 solution?

Does anyone know of a quiet CPU cooling solution for Slot1 CPU's? I setup a server with an old P2/450 and the fan on the CPU heatsink/cooler is pretty freaking loud. I thought this new system would be quieter, since it's old-tech. But, the stock Intel fans are pretty loud. Thanks for any advice.

edit: fixed the cpu type. is a p2, not a p3.

I have a giant passive heatsink on my p2-450. I also have a passive heatsink for my celeron 300a. I'm not sure if they're compatible.

I also have a PII 450 with a very large passive heat sink. I use it to test how quiet cases and PSU's are. You might try a WTB on the FS/FT forum for one. I paid about $20-25 for mine there.

Cool, I didn't know that passive cooling worked for the Slot1 P2's. How cool do you systems run when the weather's hotter? It's hit the 90's a couple times so far this year, and I'm assuming it'll get there again.

The P2-450 is actually in a computer I gave to my girlfriend when hers was hijacked by her brother. :mad; It has been quite hot in her room (80+) before and there have been no stability problems. The only other fan in the case is an L1a in the vertically mounted PSU. It also has 2 harddrives - an old 7200 rpm and a really old 5400 1.6 gig. The case is also an old InWin A500. It's so quiet (except for the harddrives) that I plan on making it my HTPC someday and giving her a computer from the 21st century. :)

Was browsing FS/FT and saw this. Scroll down - he has a slot 1 heatsink for a buck. I'm not sure if it used to have a fan or not, but Dells are usually fanless.

beatle: Cool, I'll go the passive route then. I've been on a quiet-crusade for the past year or so. The only other fans in the system are in the Antec 412 PSU, a 92mm L1A outtake and an 80mm L1A intake. I'll throw my Cuda IV/V's into it, so the only annoying noise source was from the stock fan.

Oh, and thanks for the headsup on the $1 heatsink. I already talked to the guy and I'll probably grab it. I'm assuming a heatsink for a P3/600E should work fine on a P2/450.
