Quiet Motherboard

After talking to some people, they mentioned that the DFI Ultra-D Fan cooler on the chipset is actually decently loud and I'm looking if people can confirm it? I'm building a semi-quiet pc that I can overclock.

What are peoples thoughts? If the DFI is not the choice for the quiet side then what would be the next choice? I am a gamer as well if that makes a difference.

I have the DFI board and the chipset fan is not very loud at all, it's by no means silent but I can't hear it over my stock A64 HSF or my case fans in my TT Tsunami w/out window. Actualy the loudest thing in my case atm is my Zalman VF700 Alcu @ 12V on my video card I'd really like to 7V it as 5V is to low.

no problems here...I can't hear it over my stock HSF or my Leadtek 6600GT. I have a pretty quiet system

You should never really worry about your motherboard.

Your CPU fan will be much louder as with your PSU fan. If you have case fans or a crazy GPU like an X850, then you'll be hearing much more noise from those components.

You're not considering people who have water cooling or the oh-so-coveted phase change. They will not have HSF. Some water-cooled systems are nearly silent and some phase change systems like the vapochill XE II are very quiet.
