Okay, I have one of them there new-fangled skuzzi hard drives ... an' I think that sucker's gonna be LOUD!!! Is there enny way I can make that thing quiet, short of lining my compewter with that there - what is it - Dynamat stuff? I mean, don't they make special housings for drives to make 'em quieter (an' mebbe cooler while we're at it)?

personally i wouldn't be worried about it being noise as much as getting really hot... did you check the manufacturer's page, or any reviews for the decible level of it? personally i'd get a hard drive cooler, and then worry about noise

You could try the coolmaster 4002... they carry at Plycon... I have never tried one of those before, but it should comver both the heat and noise for the drive...

I think the I-Storm I & II will do the trick.

but, do more research before you buy...they're expensive and are ugly imho
