I have a c2 600@900 1.85v with a goldenorb in a slotket.

I'm tring to make my case quieter..... any sugestions? BTW, isn't there 2 fans used in goldenorbs, a 4600rpm and a 4200rpm? mine is 4600rpm, would 4200rpm sound at all different?

There is also a 92mm fan right behind it blowing out to help cool the cpu... heat isn't a real problem.

i dunno exaclty you'd have to do some sufing and check out all the db ratings of the different heatsink/fan combos. Slower fans tend to be quieter though

There are many 3 ways to get a quieter system:

1. Get a bigger heatsink (like an Alpha) with a quiet fan so you don't lose too much cooling performance.

2. Get quieter case fans, this one is obvious.

3. And finally get a quieter power supply as some are noticeably less noisy due to the fans they use.
