Is the Seagate Barracuda still the most quiet drives available? I'm looking to get a 300gb drive for an HTPC so it should be real quiet
 
Samsung Spinpoint SP120 series are cooler, quieter, and use less power but the largest is 250 GB PATA or 200 GB SATA.

Check StorageReview.com I think Hitachi might be ahead of Seagate these days for 300+ GB drives.
