Quiet fan that pushes air

I know this may spark a debate but as I go to reviews about fans I keep getting pointed in the direction of the Scythe gentle typhoon 1850rpm. I have looked for it but no one seems to have it. Does anyone know what is going on? Thanks.

the Yate Loon 1250 or 1350rpm cant remember which is quiet, im running 3 of them in my case and they are quiet.

I wouldn't count on finding one of these any time soon. They've been hard to come by for at least a year, and they're made by Nidec, who has been in computer news lately because they were heavily affected by the Thailand flooding. (I'm not sure if that was just their HDD motor factories or if it extends to other components.)

Anyway, GT1850s are good, but they're not as quiet as some say, especially if you run them at 1850 rpm. They're good for high static pressure applications like radiators and CPU coolers. However, I had two on my Hyper 212+, and I replaced them with two Noctua NF-P12s, which actually performed a few degrees better while being quieter throughout their RPM range.

Anyway, picking the best fan depends on what you're going to use it for. So what do you need this fan to do?
