The fan that comes with the hyper 212 evo has been very loud in my experience (running at around 1300RPM).

Any suggestions for a replacement fan that's quiet and also performs well?

Is that 1300RPM at idle or load? How are your load temperatures - can you afford a lower RPM fan?

The stock fan runs at 600-2000 RPM. Initially I'd recommend Arctic F12 300-1300RPM. If you're not in the US you can probably find a Scythe GlideStream fan at equivalent RPM, should be a bit better quality. Inevitably you're going to get lower maximum performance but also lower noise levels.

That raised a red flag in my mind. What are you running that needs 1300 RPM and at temps are you at? With the system in my signature my RPM is 600 when idle and I get to max temp of less than 60 C at RPM well below 1000 (~800 I think).

Yeah, I have the 212+ in my NAS and I've never seen the fan faster than 575rpm. It's your OC, video card or just bad airflow.

I ran Cougar fans when I had mine, both at full speed, they are very quiet to me.
