Quiet down a Coolermaster ATC-201?

Howdy.

I've got an Athlon 1.4G running inside a Coolermaster ATC-201. The CPU and MB temps are always reasonable (CPU almost never gets above 41°C no matter what I'm doing - no overclocking though). Now, I find the general noise level of the Coolermaster a bit high, so I thought that, since the CPU temps are good, I could just unplug a fan or two and monitor the CPU/MB temps for a while.

For those of you who've dealt with this or similar cases, which are the best fans to disable, or should I go for quieter fans directly? The ATC-201 has dual front intake fans, a top blowhole fan, and a rear exhaust fan. This doesn't address the power supply coolers at all, just the case fans.

Any suggestions will be appreciated. TIA

Noise is all about the fans. I'd suggest just replacing your fans with quieter ones.

You can unplug one intake fan to start out.

You actually need to pinpoint which fan are producing the most noise.
Generally, powersupply fan or CPU fan produce the most noise.
Next will be the hard drive noise.

Thanks for your replies.

From what I can tell the power supply fan is the loudest. I think a fan replacement party may be in the future (after I get a few other things out of the way..... :D )

Thanks again.
