Quiet CPU Fan

I am looking for a quieter fan for my P4 CPU. Will I have to get a new heatsink or can I use
my stock one?

depends on your cases ventilation. your cpu cooler is only as good as the air its getting.

See if you can find an 80mm adapter for your heat sink. I have a low speed 80mm on my Athlon and it is much quieter and cools better than my louder 60mm fan that was on it.
