Quiet CPU Fan Advice Needed?

Hi,
I've got a work computer that's driving me nuts because of the noise. I'm working on changing the case fans to Panaflo L1's, but I need advice for the CPU fan.

This computer has a 800 Duron chip and since it's a work computer, I'm not going to bother messing with OC it. I need a fan that is as quiet as possible and since it's not going to be OC, I don't think that I'd need something that has excessive flow. I don't know.. What do you think?

I have no idea what HS is on the CPU, but it has a Coolermaster fan on it and it's NOISY! I can hardly hear myself think over the ringing.

Just to let you know, I'm not interested in swapping out the HS, just the fan.

Any advice or fan suggestions would be most appreciated!

TIA,

Sal

Or you could get a Sanyo Denki which has better CFM here.. that'll be no real sacrifice on the cooling aspect and quieter than the other components in your case.. try here it's a very quality fan..

You can buy a similar Adda fan here for $4 + ship

Phunktion:

What's the difference between the Sanyo fan listed here and the Sanyo fan you listed here?

Looks like a pretty big price difference for what appears to be the same fan. Though.. The $4 fan has a two pin connector and the one that you linked has 3. I don't know how much this matters. Do you know if these Sanyo fans are a lot louder than the Adda's? The Adda's are some rediculously low dba number.

The one on there I remember checking awhile back thinking I struck gold at only $4 but it's not even close.. after a little research you will find that that fan is only 12 cfm's while the one I refer to is around an acceptable 19 cfm..
Those Adda 60mm listed are the 14 cfm ones if I remember right and I bought two that I'm using as silent rear exhausts on my case.. not a bad option but 14 cfm is barely gonna cut it.. the 19 cfm of the Sanyo Denki is just barely enough to perform okay without the noise.. either way it's up to you whether the $10 more for the 19 cfm Sanyo Denki is worth it..

I like the Sanyo fans. I have one that came with my alpha and its great. Cools nicely and very quiet.
