Quiet / Cool western digital drive?

Hi guys, I'm looking to make my new western digital drives cooler and quieter.

I'm wondering if there is any utility like they have for the maxtor drives that slows down the seek heads (or some part). It always made my maxtor drives much cooler and quieter.

I just searched for the maxtor utility and I can't seem to find it anymore either (it's been about a year since I used it).

Any help would be appreciated

I don't think there's such utility for WD drives.. if not I would've found it after reading through a whole bunch of quiet computing stuff
