Quiet case for 10 whiny hard drives?

I have a Lian Li V1000 for my workstation and am quite happy with it. I am now building a server with 10 hard drives. 5 of these drives are rather whiny (whenever they're on they make a fairly loud high-pitched noise).

What case should I get that is especially good for blocking high-pitched sound? The fans aren't loud and heat isn't much of a problem, it's only the whiny hard drives that I want to mute. I'd like to get something that has the aesthetics of the V1000, but doesn't have to be aluminum and hopefully cheaper. It needs to hold 10 3.5" HDDs and one optical drive. I'm looking for under $150, or I'll just get another V1000.

Thanks much!

Unfortunately that whiny noise is more than likely internal to the drive so going as far as doing an elastic suspension with the drives wouldn't make much of a difference. About all you could do is go with any old case that can hold enough drives and add sound-deadening to the case to keep that noise inside.

Yeah, so would a steel case be more effective at muffling the sound? I'm also thinking that a conventional steel one would be cheaper and be more quiet than the open mesh of the V1000.

Any good value picks for a mid-tower case that can handle that many drives, no open mesh or big grills, that goes for under $150?
